In 2004 and 2005, OAAG and ARCCO brought together visual art curators currently working in or with art museums, art galleries, and artist-run centres in Canada in overlapping modes–as art museum curators, as independents, as collaborators, as writers, and/or as visual artists–out of their working contexts into think tanks in Toronto and Montreal and symposia in Banff and Toronto to talk about curating.
In 2008, 30 talks by curators originally documented at the Banff and Toronto symposia have been produced for the web by OAAG and ARCCO with the permission and approval of the presenting curators. Where permission has been granted, the video of the talk and an essay or transcript of the curator's talk in the original language of presentation are available online, as well as the original simultaneous translation in the form of an audio file. New content by Canadian visual art curators will also be published through the web portal until October 2013. The first of these is a 2008 talk by Emelie Chhanger.
